After searching for over a year for the right stud to use with our Storm, we believe we have found the perfect match, both genetically and phenotypically.  We will be breeding Storm to Bur Oak's Unique Trapper this winter.  Trapper is a very handsome and athletic dog who has succeeded in not only trials and hunt tests, but in the field as well.  We are told he loves to train as much as he loves to retrieve ducks and geese for his owners.  Trapper's success in trials is known throughout the chessie world as well.  Some of his accomplishments include: Trapper was on the National Derby list in 2004.  He was the only Chesapeake on the Derby list that year.  He won the Derby at the 2003 Chesapeake Specialty in Kansas.  Trapper became AAQ at the Chesapeake Specialty in 2004 when he received a JAM in the Amateur.  Trapper this last year received a JAM in Open at the Specialty.  He also received two JAMs in All-breed trials in the Amateur.  Trapper received an Open 3rd  and Amateur 4th in All-Breed trials in 2006.  He has a number of other placements in other years.  Trapper has one leg on his Master title and has only run 2 masters.  When he is not running trials he will continue to work on his master title. Trapper also has a son who received a JAM in the derby at 6 months 10 days of age. We are looking forward to seeing the pups out of this breeding.  If you would like to see a pedigree of Storm or Trapper, you can find them on www.chessiedb.org or we can send them to you upon request.   

A BREEDING OF STORM TO TRAPPER IS PLANNED FOR JANUARY 2009.

Pups are always well socialized (born inside and handled by three small children), introduced to gun fire, water (if possible), and wing clipped pigeons.    Shipping out of state is not a problem.  Pups are $950 with a $100 non-refundable deposit. The remainder of the balance will be due seven days before the delivery of the pup.
